ASME B30.26

Rigging Hardware

Shackles, links, rings, swivel hoist rings, eye bolts, turnbuckles and load-indicating devices: identification, rated loads, inspection and removal criteria. Matters to piping because an eye bolt loaded at an angle loses most of its rating, and a side-loaded shackle is the commonest piece of rigging misuse on a spool with an offset centre of gravity.
