OISD-STD-118

Layouts for Oil and Gas Installations

The Indian layout standard governing inter-unit and inter-equipment spacing in refineries, terminals and gas installations, issued by the Oil Industry Safety Directorate and enforced through PESO and the state factory inspectorates. It fixes minimum distances between tanks, between tanks and dyke walls, and between process units, roads and boundary walls. On an Indian project it is normally the binding constraint on a plot plan, and it is stricter than the international guidance in several places.

This is an explanation, not the standard. AlpineTutor is not affiliated with OISD and reproduces no part of the document. Always work to the current edition of the standard itself and to your project specification.
